Two Days: Visitors thin out late-August at Zion National Park, making Spring and early Fall ideal times to visit. Walk, bike, drive, or take a guided horseback ride through Zion’s showcase of plateaus, deep canyons, and striking rock towers. (STAY inside the Park at the charming Zion Lodge). Getting There: Head North on I-15, then East on Rte 9.


Three Days: One of the most scenic roads in the US, Hwy 12 can be driven in a mere three hours. The 125-mile byway takes in four state parks, two national parks, a national forest, and the Grand Staircase-Escalante Monument. With a world of sights, take a camera, your binoculars – and your time. To get there: Take I-15 North to Cedar City. Get on UT-14 going East to Long Valley Junction.
